I think this is the cheapest place in Japan. They have about 75 rooms from JPY 2,500 to JPY 2,700. They have 2 double bedrooms to. There is air-conditioning, heating, and television in every room. The rooms are clean but SOOOOO small, all Japanese style. They have a ofuro. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Disadvantage: if you sleep downstairs it can be noisy, there are only two showers for the 75 rooms, the neighborhood is not the best. The ryokan is about 1 mile from the Minowa Station.
