The country's first beer hall! Built in 1934. It's what they call a mock gothic interior -- looked pretty real to me. You half expect old German Beer Maidens to step out of the kitchen arms loaded with beer steins. Extremely loud Muzak versions of songs like "Way Down Upon the Swanee River" only add to the surreal ambiance of the beer hall.
I recommend the beef stew (it's a beerhaus after all). All in all, it's a pretty good stew -- except for the spaghetti. They seem to put spaghetti in almost everything in Japan (either that or corn).
